Pear Philosophy

“To drive our school values we adopted the 'Fish Philosophy!' this has now been tweaked to Pear Philosophy.”

 

At the start of each new school year, the children write a pear about themselves. This provides a great opportunity for the new teacher to get to know the children but also for children to reflect on the school values they would like to work hard on throughout the year.

 

In addition to this, pears are written each week. Each month we are keeping a watchful eye for a different value – children write a pear to another person within the school who has displayed this quality. One pear, is shared within celebration assembly each week.
