Seuss 2024 - 2025
Mrs Rooney
Welcome to our Class Blog for 2024-2025
Hello!
Welcome to Seuss Class Page. I hope you find this page useful. Seuss class is led by Mrs Rooney and is supported by Mrs Mitchell, Miss McDonald and Miss Day. This half-term, our PE days are Tuesday and Friday but all children should have their kits in school with them all week.
Year 3 children are split into 3 smaller classes for English and Maths. These classes are taught by the Year 3 teachers (Miss Kingston, Miss Cole, Mrs Rooney and Miss Harding).
Maths homework is set on a Thursday and is due the following Thursday. https://www.mymaths.co.uk/ Spelling practise is set on a Monday and the children are tested on the following Monday. Homework is an important way for children to embed the learning they have been undertaking in class. Spellings are set weekly on Spelling Shed and maths homework is set on MyMaths. You will recieve login details for these programmes shortly. Children will also bring home a spelling book with their set spelling in. Please feel free to use this to practise spellings with your child instead of using Spelling Shed. We also expect the children to read their reading scheme book at home (at least 4 times a week) and record this in their home/school diary. Please ensure that your child has their home/school diary in their bag every day so we can keep track of their reading.
We have lots of learning planned for Spring 1 - please see our topic lists below. You will also find our current knowledge organisers as downloadable links.
