WOW! What an incredible first week back!

The children have returned to school brilliantly, settling back into routines with smiles on their faces and an eagerness to learn. It's been wonderful to see their excitement as they dive into new topics, participate in discussions and embrace new challenges with determination and enthusiasm. Their positive attitudes and curiousity have created a fantastic atmosphere in the classroom and I cannot wait to see what this term has in store for us!

This week, the children have been immersed in hands-on science experiments, inspiring discussions about Rosa Parks and an important lesson about staying safe on line.

In science this week, we started our unit on forces. We explored the concepts of push and pull through interactive activities. The children were engrossed while identifying whether different scenarious used a push or pull force or whether it could be both.

For our whole school topic this half term, the children have been looking at 'Inspirational Women' and Year 3 have been looking at the inspiring story of Rosa Parks - a remarkable woman who changed the course of history through her courage and determination. The children were captiviate and extremely inquisitive as they learned about her famous stand for equality and how it has influenced life as we know it today. We discussed why Rosa Parks is considered an influential figure and how her bravery still teachers us about fairness and respect today.

In our e-safety lesson on Friday, we discussed the topic of permission when using the internet. The children learned how important it is to always ask before sharing photos, information or accessing websites. Through listening to scenarious and group discussions, they practised identifying situations where they should seek permission and how to respect others' boundaries online.

Finally, a huge congratulations to our 'Pupil of the Week' Amelia! Keep up the fantastic work!

Have a wonderful weekend!
