Wonderful Walliams 08.11.2024

Date: 8th Nov 2024 @ 9:19pm

What a phenomenal first week back we have had in Walliams Class!

In science this week, the children conducted an exciting experiment to test how permeable three different types of soils were. For each type of soil, the children put it into a funnel with filter paper and then poured in water. They observed carefully for 5 minutes before measuring how much water had managed to travel through the soil. I was extremely impressed with the children's knowledge of the world around them and how they applied it to deepen their understanding during the lesson.

In art, we finished our Stone Age-inspired artwork. Using pastels and charcoal, the children applied the skills they've been building over the last half term to create their own amazing cave paintings.

We have also been extremely busy preparing for our Stone Age Enterprise Day next Friday! The children are eager to share everything they've learnt over this unit with you - I know it's going to be brilliant!

Finally, a huge congratulations to our 'Pupil of the Week' Srita! Keep up the fantastic work!

Have a wonderful weekend!
