This week has been an exciting and inspiring one for the children, filled with creativity, scientific discovery, and storytelling magic!
In Science, the children became budding botanists as they investigated what plants need to grow. They set up a fascinating comparative experiment using cress, carefully placing four pots in different conditions: two in the sunlight and two in the dark, with one of each receiving water and the other left dry. The children observed the changes throughout the week and were eagerly discussing their predictions. It was a brilliant hands-on way to learn about the importance of light and water for plant growth!
Rehearsals for our Easter production, The Tale of Three Trees, have been in full swing. The children have been working incredibly hard, learning their lines and bringing the story to life with energy and enthusiasm. Their teamwork and dedication are truly shining through!
World Book Day was a magical celebration of storytelling and creativity. The highlight of the day was a captivating storytelling session with Mike Dodsworth, who mesmerised the children with his expressive and dynamic storytelling. Following this, the children participated in an engaging storytelling workshop, where they explored the art of crafting and performing their own tales. They also put their creative writing skills to the test by composing wonderful poetry about the joy of reading for pleasure. Their poems were filled with imagination, passion, and a real love for books!
It has been an incredible week of learning, creativity, and fun. Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and hard work—we can't wait to see what next week brings!
Have a wonderful weekend!
