Wonderful Walliams 06.09.2024

Date: 6th Sep 2024 @ 8:24pm

What an incredible first week! Walliams Class have settled into class brilliantly and have come into school eager to learn!

In English this week, the children have written acrostic poems about kindness and all thought carefully about how we can be kind to each other.

In maths, we have been re-capping previous learning by looking at reading and writing numbers to 100 and partitioning numbers using part-part-whole models.

During the afternoons, we have looked at different Perryfields Values such as responsibility, respect, determination, teamwork and growth mindset. Throughtout the afternoons, the children completed a range of different activities to show their understanding of these values. Whilst looking at respect and teamwork, the children were sent on a treasure hunt in their house teams around the school whilst showing that they could respect other classes and their learning. All of the children showed fantastic learning behaviours and worked excellently in their teams!

Well done to our 'Pupil of the Week' Adhya for her exceptional learning behaviour and work ethic. Keep up the phenomenal work Adhya!

REMINDER:

Next week, the children will be taking part in their elections for school councillors, eco warriors, digital leaders and house representatives. This will take place on Monday afternoon and the final elections for house representatives will be held on Friday morning.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Miss Kingston :)
