Tolkien Class Update
Date: 28th Feb 2025 @ 4:28pm
We have had a great first week of Spring Term in Tolkien Class!
In English this week, we have been writing a balanced argument titled 'Are Zoos Beneficial?'. The children have included debating language, conjunctive adverbs, facts and statistics and a range of sentence types to argue for and against their question. By the end, they provided their own opinions after providing their evidence. In maths, we have continued working on fractions, decimals and percentages and enjoyed a THINK lesson to end the week to put all our learn to the test. We have also made a start with all our topics for this half term. Both science and geography brought up interesting discussions about rivers and living things in their habitats.
We have a very busy week next week with lots to look forward to including a river walk, reading with the infants and World Book Day celebrations!
Have a great weekend everyone!
