Tolkien Class update 13/9/24

Date: 13th Sep 2024 @ 5:40pm

This week in Year 5 has been both productive and exciting for our Tolkien Class! We kicked off the week by electing our new School Council representatives, as well as our ECO Warriors and Digital Leaders. These students will play a vital role in making our school an even better place to learn and grow.

In our English lessons, we delved into the art of writing character and setting descriptions, honing our skills in using descriptive language. The children have also begun crafting informal diary entries, allowing them to express their thoughts and feelings creatively.

Our exploration of the Anglo Saxons continued as we examined various artefacts, prompting us to develop historical hypotheses about this fascinating period. The children demonstrated great enthusiasm and curiosity during this investigation.

To cap off an eventful week, we participated in the house elections. The children joined the rest of the school in voting for their house representatives for this academic year, fostering a sense of community and leadership.

A special mention to Alice who is our Pupil of the Week. Very well deserved!

A gentle reminder to everyone that house homework is due next week.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend filled with relaxation and enjoyment!
