We have had a truly wonderful first week back in Tolkien Class after the Christmas break! The excitement in the air was palpable as the children returned to school, eager to share their holiday adventures. It's heartwarming to see their enthusiasm for learning, and it certainly set a positive tone for the days ahead.

This week, we kicked off two new and thrilling topics: Earth and Space, and the Tudors. The students have responded incredibly well, demonstrating a keen interest in both subjects. The wonder of the universe captivated many, while discussions regarding the fascinating lives of the Tudor monarchs inspired some lively debates. It’s clear that these themes will open up a multitude of avenues for exploration and creativity in the coming weeks.

In English, the class has produced some excellent written pieces, showcasing their developing skills. From vivid descriptive paragraphs about Sword in the Stone. We will continue our instruction text into next week.

Additionally, it was a pleasure to teach PE this week, focusing on hockey. Watching the children engage with the sport was a joy, as they displayed both teamwork and a competitive spirit. The excitement was infectious, and their eagerness to learn new skills was commendable. I can’t wait to see their progress in the coming sessions.

All in all, it has been a fantastic week in Tolkien Class. I look forward to nurturing this enthusiasm and creativity as we delve deeper into our topics in the weeks ahead!
