Seuss class this week

Wow another fantastic week!

In English, the children have been story writing using a range of sentence starters using ISPACE.  They have based their writing on an Egyptian fairy tale, where the main character Ali was kidnapped from Greece and taken to be a servant in Egypt.  The tale was based on Cinderella stories from around the world. 

In maths, the children have been learning about mass using Kg and grams.  The end of the week we have revised addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. 

In our foundation lessons the children have been busy!  In art, we have learned about complimentary and harmonious colours using collage techniques of overlapping.  In history, we have continued to learn about the ancient Islamic civilisaiton and why the House of Wisdom was important to Baghdad and indeed the world. 

Izzy is our pupil of the week for her fantastic writing this week. Well done Izzy!

I had to share Ryan's incredible Nando's homework which was our wonderful assistant in science this week.
