WOW, WOW, WOW! Today has been incredible! Seuss Class you are brilliant!
The children showcased their amazing science projects today at our Science Fair. The quality and standard of the projects have been outstanding.
The day started with an assembly by Mrs Canty introducing the activities we would take part in. Seuss Class first learned about how technology has changed and adapted over time. We looked at different technologies and sorted them into chronological order. It was wonderful to see their amazement and listen to discussions trying to identify different technologies over time. Then, they designed, drew and annotated a new technology. It was wonderful to see their imaginations create new technologies such as floating televisions. Next, after break the children swapped with a year 6 class and had to design an animal that could survive on Mars. The children then went on to create their designs in clay.
This afternoon in class, the children had the opportunity to present their project with the rest of the class sharing everything they had learned through creating their project. Adults and children learned so many incredible things this afternoon. There were fantastic live experiments, informative presentations and creative displays. I have been blown away by the quality of everyone's work, the standard was so high!
After the presentations, we voted for our favourite projects. Well done to everyone and don't forget you all get 20 house points for showing excellence, determination, resilience and creativity.
Seuss Class winners
1st place - Hugo with his Polar Bear project, which talked about how polar bears adapt to their environment
2nd place - Prishaa with her experiment on how acids can affect our teeth over time
3rd place - Don for his project about snakes and how they have evolved and changed over time.
It was wonderful to see so many parents come to the science fair and see the children's projects. I hope you enjoyed looking at them all as much as I have today. Thank you all for supporting the children with their projects.
Well done to our winners and to all of Seuss Class. What a fantastic day we have all had!
