This week has been filled with lots of exciting learning and hard work! I’ve been very impressed with the fantastic newspapers that everyone has written. We’ve really focused on the formality and structure of newspapers, and it’s amazing to see how much everyone’s writing is coming along.
In Science, we studied the circulatory system. We looked in detail at the different organs that make up this system and how they work together. We learnt about the heart, the blood vessels, and how oxygenated blood is transported throughout the body. Everyone did a fantastic job labelling the parts of the heart and understanding the process of blood flow.
In Geography, we have been learning about The Gambia and how climate change is affecting local residents and their daily lives. We explored how the country experiences both wet and dry seasons, and how these seasons have become more unpredictable due to climate change. The shift in rainfall patterns has made farming more difficult, as farmers are facing longer dry periods and shorter rainy seasons. This affects their ability to grow crops and provide for their families.
Well done to Oscar for being awarded our Pupil of the Week.
Have a great weekend 😊
