Date: 13th Oct 2024 @ 9:24am

This week has been an exciting one for Morpurgo class as we wrapped up our suspense stories. The children have worked diligently to incorporate various suspense techniques, and the results have been nothing short of fantastic! Each story is filled with tension and intrigue, showcasing the creativity and hard work of our young authors.

In History, we delved into the impact of World War II, focusing particularly on the royal family. The children learned about Queen Elizabeth II's significant contributions during the war, including her efforts to boost morale and support the war effort. It was fascinating to explore how her role evolved during this turbulent time and how she became a symbol of resilience for the nation.

The class are truly enthusiastic about showcasing the knowledge they’ve gained about World War II for our upcoming Enterprise Day. They have been immersing themselves in research and have been busy brainstorming a variety of creative ideas for their presentations and activities. It promises to be an engaging showcase for everyone.

In Computing, we conducted research on Bletchley Park, a vital location during World War II known for its codebreaking efforts. The children were captivated by the stories of the brilliant minds who worked there, deciphering enemy communications and playing a crucial role in the war's outcome. This research not only enhanced their understanding of history but also highlighted the importance of teamwork and innovation.

Well done to Smayan for being awarded our Pupil of the Week.

Have a fantastic weekend 😊
