Headteacher Round-up!

We’ve been busy…

Well done to the Year 3 and Year 4 children who attended the inter school Bowls Club festival on Tuesday. They had a great time and were brilliant ambassadors for our school!

We all loved our ‘Odd Socks Day’ in support of Anti-Bullying Week. The socks signify the fact that everyone is different and everyone is special. Mrs Canty and our School Council led an exceptionally informative whole school assembly about bullying and we were really over-whelmed with the children’s mature response to the issues discussed. Great work Perryfields! Throughout the week we will be reminding the children about the importance of being kind and respectful to each other.

It was lovely to once again be able to welcome our school governors into school on Thursday. Before our curriculum meeting, the governors visited the Year 3 Enterprise morning where they were immersed in Stone Age life. This was a great opportunity for Year 3 children to show case their leadership skills as they led and promoted Stone -age activities and presentations to governors, parents and all children from years 3-6 -a valuable learning experience for us all. Our governors were very impressed with the children’s outstanding knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm A huge well done to everyone involved!

Year 4 were in fine form during the Mighty Oak Public Speaking workshops on Wednesday. The aim of the programme is to empower children to develop their public speaking skills so that they can ask open questions and deliver a short speech and Walliams and Lewis class nailed it!

So much positivity and effort at PJS this week!
