Headteacher Round-up!

I am extremely proud of the team at Perryfields for achieving the Artsmark Silver Award. The school has worked hard to ensure all our children have access to the arts in all it’s forms and are committed to delivering a high-quality arts and cultural education. Thank you, Miss Riley and Miss Boyle, for your hard work in securing this accolade!
As we move deeper into Autumn, Miss Howlett decided to lead a whole school assembly based on Sukkot and thinking about thankfulness. Sukkot is one of the festivals celebrated by Jews around the world each year. The festival lasts for 1 week and gives thanks for a successful harvest. A key part of Sukkot is the sukkah - a temporary dwelling which each family constructs and in which they will spend time during the festival. Our children really enjoyed the assembly and asked lots of interesting questions about the importance of harvest time throughout the world.
Year 6 enjoyed an information packed, hands on Homefront 40’s Day on Friday! They took part in a whole host of different craft and roleplay activities and were immersed in World War 2 experiences throughout the day. The children were all beautifully behaved and were superb ambassadors for our school. A huge thank you to all of our adult helpers who make the day such a great success.
Well done to our table tennis team who competed with great skill and determination in this week’s inter-school contest and achieved 2nd place overall! Outstanding efforts all round.
Thank you to all families who have made donations towards the Chelmsford Food Bank - your kindness will help to make a difference to our whole community.
