Headteacher Round-up!

Date: 17th Jul 2023 @ 11:02am

Along with other Primary schools, we received the Year 6 SATS results this week and are so proud of our children’s achievements. All our Year 6 children have made excellent progress from their Year 3 starting points and the provisional results are well above the national averages in reading, writing and maths. Considering the children have had massive disruptions to their education during Year 3, their individual achievements are remarkable-congratulations Year 6!

We all enjoyed our annual Sports Day with an abundance of perseverance, determination, excellence and personal bests on show. Although it was very close, the winning team overall was a very excited Hawking House! Inspiring efforts all round and we had so much fun!

We were also thrilled to hear that Perryfields has been presented with the ultimate School Games Platinum Award! This is an amazing achievement and is testament to Miss Howlett’s outstanding leadership of PE and the great work of our coaches who work alongside her!

It was lovely to welcome our new Year 3 children and parents to our school on Thursday’s moving -up day.  We also welcomed new staff; Miss Leader and Mr McGuiness who worked with their new classes.

I do hope you have enjoyed reading your child’s report this week. I have looked at every child’s report and feel so proud of the uplifting comments that they have received from their class teachers. Well done everyone!

It was also super to see so many of our families at our Exhibition afternoon on Thursday where we show-cased our Voyages of Discovery project. I’m sure you will agree that the quality of work on show was exemplary!

Thank you all for your support this week and I hope you have a lovely weekend!
