Headteacher Round-up!

Date: 17th Jul 2023 @ 9:37am

Once again this week, PJS has been very successful in sports competitions; well done to everyone who participated at the district sports on Monday! Lots of our children achieved personal bests in their events and everyone made a determined effort throughout the competition-super!

Well done to our netball team who played their last league match against Broomfield on Friday. Once again, they showed great sportsmanship and teamwork and we are really proud of their efforts this past year!

Also, well done to our dance squad who performed twice at the Civic theatre this week as part of the Gotta Dance show. They were a pleasure to watch as they danced with so much style and enthusiasm to ‘This is Me!’ from the Greatest Showman. Thank you, Miss Howlett for working and rehearsing with our talented dancers -they will all have benefitted enormously from this experience!

Year 5 really enjoyed their Food and Farming trip on Thursday-they learnt so many interesting facts about agriculture, farm animals and the transition of meat, crops and vegetables from farm to our plates. Thank you to all staff and parents who helped with this event.

A number of our Year 6 children have been crossing the car park this week to read with children from the Busy Bees Nursery. Both Year 6 and Busy Bees are really enjoying their time together! Thank you, Year 6!

Our school has not quite as full this week as we have had lots of children in Year 6 out at various schools for their transition sessions at secondary school. It sounds like they have had an enjoyable time and we are pleased that they are looking forward to the next step in their learning journey.
