Happy Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
Date: 18th Dec 2023 @ 9:29am
Well, we’ve definitely felt the festive burn at PJS these past few days…so much has been happening!
We all felt very proud of our confident and articulate Year 4 children who performed a beautiful assembly, ‘Christmas Around the World,’ in front of a packed hall on Tuesday. This was a lovely opportunity for us to share another special memory together. Thank you, Miss Kingston and Mrs Canty for organising this performance and also managing to fit rehearsals into a few very demanding weeks. A special thank you to the Rev Sally Croft who led a special prayer at the end of the presentation to Years 4, 5 and 6.
Also, well done to our House Captains who organised and ran Christmas stalls to raise funds for their chosen charities today - their efforts and kindness have generated more funds for those in need. Thank you for your support with this venture.
Our whole school Christmas dinner was a great success - as is our tradition, we all ate together, dressed in festive jumpers whilst singing along to Christmas medleys. We were treated to a fabulous lunch with all the trimmings and we all had a super time! Thank you, Mrs Cardy, Miss Berris and Ms Sage, for managing to cater for us all! Extra bonus - we raised £120 for the Save the Children Christmas Jumper appeal. Thank you. And there’s more…our lovely office ladies also made festive hampers for our Christmas raffle and raised just over £400! Fabulous.
If that’s not enough, we also have our House Sing Off, Talent Show, Music Extravaganza and class Christmas parties on Monday and Tuesday - phew…so much fun and excitement to look forward to.
As this is my final newsletter of 2023, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff for their hard work over the last term - it’s been exceptionally eventful! I would also like to thank our governors and of course our parents for their ongoing support.
And of course, I wish our precious children and families a lovely Christmas and my very best wishes to you all for a happy and healthy 2024.
