First week of the Spring Term
Date: 10th Jan 2025 @ 2:46pm
It was lovely to welcome back the children after the Christmas holidays and hear their amazing stories of the fun they have had.
This week our new writing unit is based on the Roald Dahl book 'George's Marvellous Medicine'. The children have written some fantastic character descriptions of George's grandma.
In Science, we have started our forces and magnets unit. We have investigated how we use the forces of push and pull in our everyday lives. Our history topic this term is the Ancient Egyptians and in our first lesson, we looked at the era they lived and compared it to our previous learning of the Stone Age.
Our PSHE lesson was about Laws, Rules and Rights. We had a lot of discussion about their differences and made an graffiti poster about Law. I have shared some of their fantastic designs.
Ozzie is our pupil of the week, well done. Seuss class also won this weeks Spellingshed school competition. Excellent effort!
One message, please make sure the children have a warm coat as the weather is very cold at the moment. Also, please ensure that all of their coats, hats, gloves and water bottles are named.
Have a great weekend Seuss class and well done for a fantastic first week back.
