End of Autumn Term

Well, where have the last 3 months gone? Seems only yesterday that the children were here for their first day of Year 5.

Over the last couple of days, the children have been finishing our current topics ready to start new ones in 2024. We finally finished our cam toys yesterday and I'm sure you'll all have great fun playing with these over the Christmas Holidays. It may have taken some time but the finished products look great! Yesterday afternoon, the children sat and enjoyed a Christmas film before going into the hall to watch the Perryfields Music Extravaganza. Well done to Reyansh, Gabriela and Lauren who all represented our class brilliantly and demonstrated what talented musicians they are. 

We gathered as a whole school again this morning to watch 'Perryfields Has Talent' where two acts from each class competed for the upper and lower school prizes. Well done again to Reyansh (who played the piano) and Lauren, Chloe, Lara and Lottie (who performed a comedy drama sequence). It takes great effort and talent to perform in front of an audience of over 300 people.

The children finished their morning with a class party involving Christmas music, colouring, arts and crafts and board games! 

Before we depart for the holidays, I'd like to say a huge well done to the children who have all had a brilliant first term in Upper School. The transition is a big one and they have all taken it in their strides. Keep up the hard work after the holidays. Also a huge thank you to all for my Christmas presents.
