Dahl Class Update

It's great to be back!

We have enjoyed a great week back in Dahl Class. 

In particular, the children loved starting our Volcanoes geography topic, where the children learnt about archipelagos, volcanoes, overseas territories, and the 8 regions of Iceland and writing suspense stories about our recently finished class book -  Groosham Grange. I'm already looking forward to next weeks lessons! In maths this week, we have continued with our multiplication and division topic and tackled new concepts with brilliant determination. 

Due to the children's brilliant efforts with practising their spellings last half term (and this week as we have won yet another SpellingShed award), the children enjoyed an hour of watching Descendants 2 as a reward. This will a 2 week cycle of English work this year so it was great to see them choose this film!

A special mention as always to our Pupil of the Week this week; Zac you worked extremely hard across the board this week and thoroughly deserved the award!

Just a reminder to the children to ensure that they are up to date with spelling and maths homework on a weekly basis.
