What another great first week back after half term. You all came back refreshed and ready to learn and with a super learning attitude. 

In English this week, we finished our story writing unit of 'Embarked' and used a range of narrative features to make them engaging and exciting! 

In maths, we started our new unit of 'fractions' and looked closely at equivalent fractions using a fraction wall. Considering this is a tricky concept, you all tackled this with a can do attitude and mastered the skill beautifully. 

We also started our new afternoon topics of Afternoon Tea and Climates and Biomes! You all loved learning about the history of where afternoon tea originated from and how this links and still happens in todays society. 

Well done to our Pupil of the Week William who has worked tirelessly to ensure our Enterprise Day ran smoothly and without a hitch! Well done for all your hard work and determination William. 

I have also asked the children that if they would like to donate any books to our reading corner to our 'Peer Recommendation' section this would be greatly appreciated. This will help to keep our book shelves up to date and to encourage the children's love for reading.
