Dahl Class Update 24/11/23
Date: 24th Nov 2023 @ 4:24pm
Well it has been yet another busy week in Dahl Class this week!
This week, the children tackled assessment week with outstanding attitudes and demonstrated exactly what they have learnt since joining Year 5. Both Mr Robertson and I have been very impressed with the children's scores and they should also be very pleased.
Despite it being assessment week, our afternoons continued to be jammed packed with our foundation subjects. In geography, the children brilliantly explain why there are so few trees on the island of Hiemay (Iceland). In science, we learned about which materials dissolve in liquids which lead to a scientific investigation to prove our findings. Mrs Gregory very kindly took photos of our class gymnastics lesson, please see photos below, where the children worked in groups to perform different balances including pyramids.
We ended the with with an afternoon of DT where the children began to make their cam toys which will be ready for you all to see by the end of term.
A special mention to our Pupil of the Week this week - well done Arnav thoroughly deserved.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Mr Curtis
