Dahl Class Update 17.01.2025

What a week Dahl Class!

You have come back to school with a can do attitude! We have had a busy week learning and enriching our brains. 

In English, we have started our new unit of Escape to Pompeii relating to the Romans. We have started writing informal letters in a bottle about the tragedy that struck in Pompeii. We were able to use contractions and a chatty tone to recount the events that have happened.

In Maths, we have now finished our unit of Multiplication and Division and next week we will be moving onto Area. 

In Science, we explored how sounds travel and looked at the journey through our ears starting at the pinnae all the way to the auditory nerves. Great work! 

Well done to our Pupil of the Week Elsie! She has worked incredibly hard in maths even when she found things tricky. She also modelled a wonderful growth mindset to the rest of the class - proving that you can do anything!  

We also would love it if we could have some parent volunteers help at our Colchester Castle trip on the 10th of February. Please pop into the office for any information regarding this.
