Another busy week under our belts and we are gradually settling in back to normal routines here at Perryfields. The children's behaviour this week has been extremely impressive and even Mrs Edwards was blown away! Well done - keep it up!

This week in English, we have been delving into our two week cycle of Paddington and we began writing a letter to his dear Aunt Lucy telling her all about his travels to Britain from darkest Peru. The children were focusing on including expanded noun phrases and extending their ideas using coordinating conjunctions.

In maths, we have focused predominantly on reading and writing Roman numerals all the way up to 100. The children tackled this with a great attitude and were able to complete a huge range of questions to deepen their learning.

We have our first venture to the computer suite on Thursday, where we began looking at our unit of Collaborative Learning. They were able to edit a document as a whole class and were communicating well and working as a team.

Well done to you all this week - I cannot wait for many more weeks of outstanding progress to come.

A special congratulations to our Pupil of the Week Jacob. He has had a blinding week and has shown an incredible growth mindset!

Have a restful weekend!

Mrs Canty :)
