Busy term so far

Well, it certainly has been a busy term so far.
The children have settled in so well over the past few weeks and have shown incredible resilience. They have investigated the durablity and permeability of rocks in science. In RE, they have been comparing Christianity to Judaism. In our writing this term, we have written a narrative about the three little pigs. Our recent writing has been a set of instructions on 'how to train a dragon'. I have some avid Cressida Cowell fans in the class and experts on the story of Hiccup and Toothless!
In art, the children have been learning shading techniques and using different mediums such as charcoal, pencil and oil pastels.
To celebrate Black History, this week the children learned about Dorothy Vaughan and Florence Price. As well as, learning about the origins of the Juba dance and performing it in the class.
