A day in Anglo-Saxon Britain 18/10/24

We enjoyed a brilliant day on Thursday as we travelled back in time to Anglo Saxon Britain! The children dressed up for the occasion and took on roles of medics, wrote letters in Anglo Saxon Runes and prepared themselves for battle against the Vikings. In the afternoon, the children fast forwarded to 2024 to become archaeologists. In this role, the children had to work as historians to work out what time of setting their artefacts came from! It was great to see the historical thinking throughout the task.
