A busy first full week.

Date: 12th Jan 2024 @ 4:22pm

It has been a busy week!

On Monday, the Two John's came and spoke to the children about online safety.  They gave a fantastic interactive talk, explaining how to keep safe online.

In our writing this week, we have been influenced by the Roald Dahl book, George's Marvellous Medicine.  The children have written some fantastic character descriptions describing George's repulsive, grouchy grandma.

This week we have continued with our new art topic and looked more closely at colour.  The children learned about primary, secondary and tertiary colours and how to mix them.

In PSHE, we discussed rules and laws.  The children made their own posters with facts about what they understood about laws.

In history, we started our new topic about the Ancient Egyptians, comparing when they lived to with previously learned eras of the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.

In computing, we took our first steps learning how to use the programming application 'Scratch'.  The children created a sprite and learned how to make a loop, to make it do a repeated activity.  I can already see we have some programming experts in Seuss class!

Fantastic work this week!

Have a lovely weekend.
