Week 3
It has been a busy week in Seuss class. On Tuesday, we had our book look event, an opportutnity for the children to show off their phenomenal hard work. I am sure you will all agree that the children have worked incredibly hard so far this school year. I hope you enjoyed seeing some of their fabulous work.
In art, we have continued to be inspired by Paul Klee by creating our own versions of the Rose Garden. We continued to learn about the Ancient Egyptians in history; this week it was all about the process of mummification. The children used drama, being presenters and actors, sharing their knowledge of the process. There were some amazing performaces and some excellent sharing of knowledge.
On Friday, our Maths Bee finalsist took to the stage to compete in their houses to be the winning house. A huge well done to Elizabeth, Win, Sri and Lochlan for taking part. Anning house were the winnners and awarded 200 house points.
In English, we started to write a biography about Scar from the Lion King, which we will continue into the coming week. In Maths, we have been learning our formal multiplication and solving problems fluently across operations.
In PE this week the children started to learn a dance routine. All I can say is WOW. I cannot wait to see them perform this when they have have learned the whole routine. There are some fantastic dancers in the class!
Have a lovely weekend.
